Trauma Counseling

Child-Parent Psychotherapy

In-person sessions with caretaker (bio, adoptive, or foster parents) and child. CPP is an evidenced-based practice for children under 6 who have experienced a traumatic event. Examples of traumatic events include loss of a loved one, experiencing abuse (physical, verbal, or sexual), and being in or witnessing a serious violent crime or accidents. The therapist provides a safe space and guidance for the caretaker and child to process the trauma through play.
